AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:

PRIZES:
A Prize will be awarded in each of the categories listed above. In the best analysis and research category the sum of 2008 euros will be awarded in addition to the prize.

NOMINATIONS:
Nominations will be accepted from both individuals, companies and work groups according to the category.

APPLICATION AND SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
Nominations may be submitted direct or through another person or entity. Franchisee nominations must be submitted by the franchisor. The Jury may make any nomination it deems appropriate. Work being submitted in the analysis and research category must be original and unpublished and the subject should relate to the franchising industry. All nominations and work should be received in Spanish, on time and in the format stipulated by the organisers of the Awards. Entries not made in accordance with the regulations will be excluded.

PRESENTATION OF NOMINATIONS
Nominations should be presented as follows:
"Where the nominees are nominating themselves, they should put forward a written argument supporting their nomination and give a description of the history of their company or the entity they represent.
" Where nominations are being made by a person or entity other than the nominee, appropriate supporting arguments should also be put forward. In both instances the documentation may be accompanied by any material deemed to be useful and this may be sent by any means including multimedia. Analysis and research papers, which should be at least 20 pages long, should be typed in double spacing on one side of the paper only and on standard size paper (DIN A4).

THE JURY
The jury will be the same for each of the categories and will comprise a representative of each of the following entities:
" The Ministry of Economy and Finance
" The Generalitat Valenciana (Government of Valencia)
" The Council of Chambers of Commerce of Valencia
" The International Franchising, Business Opportunities and Associated Trading Exhibition (SIF&Co.)
" The Spanish Association of Franchisors
" The jury will also include up to three prize-winners from previous years.

The closing date for receipt of entries is 19th September 2008.

JURY'S DECISION AND RULING:
The jury's decision will be final.
Documents submitted will not be returned unless their return is specifically requested.
Winning entries will be publicised through such media as the organisers of the Awards deem appropriate.
The Jury may give an Award to a person or business that has not been nominated. The winners will be selected before 30th September and announced in the first week of October.

AWARD CEREMONY:
The winners will receive their awards at a Gala Dinner on 23rd October, during the 19th International Franchising, Business Opportunities and Associated Trading Exhibition, SIF&Co. 2008.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Participation in the Awards competition implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions.
